This event was co-organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC) and The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK).
Previously, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Government has declared Green Finance as a priority development area in Hong Kong. The Financial Secretary also announced in the 2018-19 Budget a series of measures to strengthen Hong Kong’s unique role on green financing, thereby making a contribution to the sustainable development of the world. In view of this, the HKGBC co-organised the Environmental Forum on Green Finance with OUHK to promote green finance and its importance in shaping the sustainable future.
Speakers from the Government of the HKSAR, academic and property industry shared insights on the policy, framework, challenges and initiatives on green finance from global to local perspectives. Participants have learnt more on how Green Finance drives the green building advancement.
