Title: Passive Indoor Positioning Methods and Systems via PIR Sensors
Abstract
Indoor localization has recently witnessed an increase in interest, due to the potential wide range of services it can provide by leveraging Internet of Things (IoT), and ubiquitous connectivity. Reliable location information is vital for different location-based services in smart home and assisted living environments that make living easier and safer. This presentation will discuss the passiveindoor positioning methods and systems which is device-free and unobtrusive. A passive positioning system is invisible to the user, and the users do not need to perform any specific activities for the system to position them.
